Tom Lamb at drug-injury.com addresses the early release of Cardiologist Steven Nissen's article in the upcoming New England Journal of Medicine.

Dr. Nissen thinks the heart risks of ADHD drugs such as Ritalin and Adderall are great enough to warrant a black-box warning for the drugs.

Black box warnings are given to drugs that carry a significant risk of serious side effects. The warnings are designed to call the attention of doctors and patients to the risk of these side effects.
